James E. McGinnis, Jr.
The McGinnis Lumber Company, Inc. was founded in January 1922 by J. Earl McGinnis, who served as President and Chief Executive Officer until his death in 1969. James E. McGinnis, Jr served in that capacity for thirty-six years before turning over management responsibilities to James E. (Jim) McGinnis, III in 2005. Our company is one of the oldest forest products wholesalers in the country operating under continuous family management. Our market focus changed many times over the years as conditions dictated, but our primary function has always been to provide a quality product at a competitive price, and to transact business with a high level of integrity and trust. As a result of this philosophy, and many good people implementing it over the years, we enjoy an excellent reputation throughout the industry. We realize that our continued success is contingent on maintaining fair and professional relationships with our staff, suppliers and customers. The McGinnis Lumber Company employs seventeen people in sales, clerical, and management positions. Our sales territory extends into forty states and four foreign countries, with sales in 2013 over $13,000,000. Our buying staff has over eighty years experience with the company, and our aggregate sales experience adds many more decades of service to that number. We are rightly proud of The McGinnis Lumber Company, Inc. and the people that make it work. We look forward to another ninety years of service to the forest products industry.
